Teaching Assistant SEN job in West Drayton

Do you live in Uxbridge and West Drayton or surrounding areas?

Located just 15 mins from Uxbridge and West Drayton station, an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' primary and secondary special school are looking for teaching assistants to start full-time immediately and in September.

The role involves supporting a class of pupils with autism, learning difficulties and complex behavioural needs 1:1, 2:1 and in small groups. This additionally will include adapting lessons and plans, creating innovative resources and liaising with staff to provide high quality support of pupils in your care.

You will ideally need:

  • Experience working with children/young people with special needs
  • To live in Uxbridge, West Drayton or surrounding areas
  • Be committed to full-time work during school term time
  • Confidence in behaviour management
  • Confidence in dealing with pupils with a variety of needs
  • Confidence supporting in Maths, English and humanities

Teaching Personnel offers all staff:

  • A dedicated specialist consultant to support through registration and placement
  • CPD Courses (Safeguarding, Team Teach, NASEN and Ruth Muskin)
  • Wide range of positions: 1:1, 2:1, day to day, long term and temporary to permanent

Successful applicants will need to provide professional references and hold an up to date child only DBS registered onto the £13 update service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
