Due to an expansion of the team of support staff at our partner secondary school in Rochdale, Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join the Special Educational Needs (SEN) department from September 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to obtain their first role in education, or for an experienced Teaching Assistant to further their career in a 'Good' secondary school in Rochdale.

• Full time Teaching Assistant role from September 2019
• Fixed term contract until July 2020 in the first instance
• Potential for a more progressive role from the 2020/2021 academic year

• Earn up to £1300 per month

Our partner school is a smaller than average dual faith CofE and Roman Catholic school located in Heywood, Rochdale and is currently oversubscribed with over 600 students currently in attendance. With a positive Progress 8 score above the national average, the school has an excellent reputation of academic success and creating a strong culture for learning. The school itself has excellent facilities and is ideally located a short 10 minute drive from the M60.

As a Teaching Assistant the successful candidate will be expected to support students in classes in both a 1:1 capacity and small group scenarios as well as supporting students with a range of Special Educational Needs including emotional, behavioural and physical difficulties. In particular, our partner school is ideally seeking an individual that has experience with students with ASD, ADHD and dyslexia. Prospective candidates from a range of backgrounds including youth work and care work are encouraged to apply as they will have many transferable skills.
