Our state of the art client school in Rochdale, rated 'good' by Ofsted currently have a vacancy for a Teaching Assistant to join the department and assist in delivering effective and engaging lesson plans to KS3 and KS4 pupils as well as delivering support to students on a 1 to 1 basis with any educational, behavioural or emotional difficulties they may encounter.

With innovative science and technology facilities, and recently investing over £1million into their IT department, our client school are a growing school with a very good reputation within the local community. This would be an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to gain extra experience in a secondary school environment prior to seeking a placement on a PGCE or similar teaching training programme.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant in Rochdale

• Assisting with effective teaching of the pupils in a secondary school class room
• Enforcing class rules and helping to promote good behaviour
• Assisting in the planning and marking of class work
• Working with students in a group situation or on a 1:1 basis
