Teaching Assistant Required To Work With Pupils with Autism

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school who require people that are flexible and can work on a day to day basis as well as people that would like long term work. This school provides care for children between the ages of 11-18 and meets the needs of pupils with speech, language and social communication difficulties. 80% of pupils in the school have ASC including non-verbal autism. A high proportion of pupils do have other additional complex needs.

The right candidate for this role must have had solid experience working with children and/or young people with SEN. Additional training and experience such as Moving and Handling, Team-Teach, MAPA, PECS, Makaton, Personal Care would be highly beneficial.

The leaders in this school are passionate and care deeply about pupils and learners. They use highly effective systems to ensure that all pupils get the best quality support and education. The staffs are motivated and caring and use individualised learning plans which support pupils diverse needs. Pupils are highly engaged in their learning and have very positive attitudes.

The pay rate for this role will be £8.41 per hour
