Teaching Assistant Required in Secondary Behavioural School

My school is a school that provides education for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties from Years 7 to 11. The school are currently looking for up to three teaching assistant for bank staff who are available on a daily basis and available for 3+ days of teaching assistant work . The pupils at this school do have very challenging behaviour and so any TAs who are interested need to be able to manage verbal and physical aggression. You do not need to have experience of working within a SEN school however you do need to have experience of working in a school or setting with challenging children or adults.

The type of person who usually gets on well at this school comes from one of the following backgrounds: youth work, social work, sports, psychology. This person doesn't need a degree in Sports or PE but having a sports background or interest in sports and the ability to work in the PE department will be beneficial.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
