Job description

Teaching Personnel have exclusively partnered with a specialist SEN provision based in Romsey looking for full and part time Teaching Assistants, who will be working with young children and adults at Key Stages 3 - 4. This position will require candidates to work with pupils demonstrating a variety of needs, which may include: Moderate-Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), Autism and Visual and Hearing Impairments (VI/HI).

Candidates will be required to have:

  • A robust knowledge of the complex drivers behind behaviour and proactively keeps skills up to date be self-critical and receptive to feedback.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to develop positive professional relationships and be an effective communicator to work with both internal and external parties in the best interest of the students.
  • Ability to lead impact on pupil progress, plan, assess and maintain an overview of individual education plans, teaching and learning.
  • The school has a strong leadership team, with experienced and enthusiastic staff that support each other to achieve success. They also offer an excellent professional development programme and are committed to providing every opportunity to support and develop all staff.
