Job description

Support Assistant required in a Leyland based SEN School which caters for pupils with SEMH difficulties, Learning difficulties and Autism. The School is smaller than average and currently only caters for approximately 40 pupils. The School creates education opportunities for pupils who struggle in mainstream education and pupils who display challenging behaviours.

Teaching Personnel work closely with this School and they are looking for a permanent member of staff, therefore, you would be considered for this role if you were to be successful and in the meantime you can benefit from Teaching Personnel's CPD courses which includes Team Teach.

The role will start in September on a full time basis and ideally the candidate will have some availability between now and the summer holidays for some transition days, although this is not essential.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting children and/or adults with SEMH Difficulties, be willing to work on a 1:1 or small group basis with pupils who are often challenging in their behaviour and have a strong work ethic.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 60 per day
