Teaching Assistant required in Burnley SEN provision!

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Burnley based SEN School which provides education and support for pupils with PMLD, Physical Disabilites, Autism and ADHD - some of the pupils in School may display challenging behaviours. The School caters for pupils through KS3/4 and 5, although, many of them are learning at a lower level.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting pupils with SEN and be willing to work on a full time basis. The School hours are 8.35 - 3pm monday - friday and the candidate must initially be able to work on an ad-hoc supply basis with the view to the role becoming long term, if not permanent.

The role is to start within the next couple of weeks and candidates must be willing to provide one voluntary day in School so they can ascertain your suitability for the role. The pupils in School may display some challenging behaviours and therefore candidates must be confident and have strong classroom management skills.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
