Job description

A Teaching Assistant required for an SEN School located in Croydon. The school specialises in a mixture of complex needs, such as Autism, SEMH, and MLD for Primary and Secondary aged pupils. The classes vary in size, so you will have to be able to handle 1:1 support to small groups.

The pay starts at £56 - £65 depending on experience and training. There are opportunities to reconsider the rate once you have gained more experience.

In order to be considered for the role you will be required to have the following:

  • A naturally caring and supportive nature.
  • Experience working with children, particularly supporting primary or secondary children with SEN.
  • Immediate, full time, availability.
  • A DBS on the updated service, or be willing to complete one asap.
  • Have completed training relevant to this position (first aid, moving and handling, safeguarding, Makaton, PECS is desirable but not essential).
  • Can provide excellent references from previous employment.
