Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Special School in Bradford who are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team this term.

The school is located in the Wibsey area of Bradford and provides a differentiated curriculum for 250 pupils aged 11-16 who have a wide range of Special Educational Needs including Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities and Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, it will be your role to support pupils to access learning during lessons, under the supervision of a class teacher. You will work closely with colleagues to implement individual Education, Health and Care Plans (ECHP) for pupils, which will include meeting their social, emotional and mental health needs in addition to meeting their learning needs, and may also involve personal care.

We are looking for an individual who has the passion and commitment to support young people with Special Needs to achieve within a specialist setting. You must have previous experience of working with young people with SEN in an education, health or care setting, and have a sound understanding of delivering person-centred care.
