Teaching assistant required for 'outstanding' secondary school

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a large, specialist secondary school in Whitefield, Bury that provide a happy and secure environment for children with complex and severe learning disabilities which include little or no language abilities. The school are looking to employ a Teaching assistant on a long term (academic year) basis from September 18 to work across KS3.
A range of other services are also available to students including an all-inclusive sports facility, specialist therapy as well as staff with expertise in autism, multi-sensory impairments and behaviour management.
Student's needs include Autism spectrum conditions, multi-sensory impairment, hearing or visual impairment with additional needs, profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex physical disabilities, cortical visual impairment, additional medical needs including progressive and degenerative conditions.
The school are looking to employ a Teaching assistant who holds the experience necessary to 'hit the ground running'. The school have suggested that any applicant must have had solid experience working with children and/or young people with complex and severe learning disabilities including Autism. Additional training and experience such as Moving and Handling, Team-Teach, Peg feeding, PECS, Personal Care would be highly beneficial to your application.
The school are offering a year long contract with view to the potion being re-advertised on a permanent basis in June 19. To which you will then have the experience necessary to put forward an excellent application.
