Teaching Assistant required for MLD school

A school in Waterlooville are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work with primary pupils that have Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties. The pupils may have the types of Special Educational Needs alongside this such as Autism, Dyslexia and other linked Needs. The class sizes are 5-6 pupils in a class with a teacher and a couple of Teaching Assistants in the class.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Experience working with SEN, this could be personal or professional experience and with adults or children.
- A passion for SEN and making a difference for the children
- SEN training, this is prefereable and not essential
- An ability to use their initiative
The school are looking for a full time permanent Teaching Assistants as well as some part time and temporary Teaching Assistants. Due to the needs of the pupils all candidates must be able to offer personal care and any SEN training such as Makaton, Moving and Handling, Team Teach or similar would be an advantage.
