Are you looking for a new role supporting in school?

Then this could be the role for you!

Teaching Personnel represent a large Trust of Schools in South Sheffield, and we are looking for a flexible Teaching Assistant to support on a part time basis. We are looking for someone adaptable, who can support across Key Stages.

The ideal candidate will have some experience of working with SEN and will have outstanding inter-personal skills. You will need to be patient and sensitive with the ability to encourage and motivate children as well as being able to work effectively in a team. Experience of current phonics/Maths schemes will be advantageous, but not essential, as you will be supporting in core subject areas. We can offer additional training through our CPD Academy and will be running a Team Teach Course during the February half term holiday. You will need to take into account children's learning styles and what motivates them to stay engaged, using positive behaviour management. You will be responsible for supporting the class teacher as well as taking small groups of children for interventions.

Our ideal Teaching Assistant will;

  • be patient and sensitive
  • be able to motivate children who are disengaged from their learning
  • be able to support in core curriculum areas
  • have GCSE English/Maths (A-C)
