L2 Teaching Assistant (PART-TIME)
Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a number of Sheffield's Primary Schools that require the immediate support of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant. Do you have experience in a school-based setting and enjoy working with young pupils?
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurturing individual who enjoys a challenge and wants to improve the quality of education for young pupils in Sheffield. If you are looking for part-time work to fit around your existing commitments, then this is the role for you. You must be a committed support assistant who enjoys working across a variety of schools.
The job role and benefits:
- You will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to ensure the care and support of the pupils
- You will help enable access to learning for the pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of their classroom
- Will involve work within the classroom and outside the main teaching area
- Working in a well respected primary school in the heart of the community
- Excellent transport links
- Supporting class teacher within a strong senior team
You will have:
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Level 2 NVQ for teaching assistants or equivalent, or have relevant work experience
- Classroom based experience
- Training or experience in relevant learning strategies
- Shown initiative and be confident to get involved in all areas of the school
