Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Alternative Provision College in the Haywards Heath area that are seeking a highly motivated, imaginative teaching assistant that is passionate at supporting children with diverse needs.

About the role:

The chosen teaching assistant will be required to be nurturing, resilient and have a great sense of humour as they will be working with children who find it difficult to express how they feel. The role is extremely rewarding but its important to understand there will be challenging times which is why its crucial to be a positive person that doesn’t take themselves too seriously. You will be required to fully support pupils with social and emotional needs in the learning process, working either 1:1 or supporting a small group as well as working closely with the Class Teacher. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a nurturing environment and develop relationships.

About you:-

• Referencing to cover a minimum of 2 years.

• Be an excellent and inspirational class practitioner, who demonstrates outstanding classroom practice and who has children at the heart of all they do

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience working within children, or adults in a caring capacity.

• Transferrable skills such as teamwork, initiative, flexibility, adaptability, remaining calm under pressure, caring and helpful.

• Right to work in the UK.

Additional information:

• Hours: 8:30am – 15:30pm (Full Time)
• Contract: Temp to Perm
• Pay: £385.00 - £450.00 per week
• Location: Haywards Heath
