Full time learning support assistant position with an SEN pupil.

We are working on behalf of secondary schools in Northumberland to recruit for committed individuals with experience of supporting young people. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to support pupils with SEN aged 11-16.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Have experience working with children and young people with SEN
- Have a confident and friendly personality
- Remain calm in stressful situations
- Show a genuine interest of working with children and young people
The successful Teaching Assistant will support students in class across the subject areas, and deliver targeted interventions to students on a 1:1 basis during lessons and break times. Further to this, Teaching Assistants will have the opportunity to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, which is great experience of classroom and behaviour management.
The school is located in Newcastle Upon Tyne and currently has over 700 pupils on roll. Students are well behaved and the school prides it self on its inclusive and caring atmosphere. This combined with the SLT's continued commitment to the performing arts, sports and a wealth of extra-curriculars ensures all learners are fully supported and challenged to achieve their potential.
Teaching Personnel are also working in partnership with a number of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, outstanding local schools and Universities to deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities.
