Teaching Assistant Needed Urgently for School in NG6 Area

Job description

One of our partner schools in the NG6 area requires a Teaching Assistant to work in a Year 2 class on a full-time basis, beginning immediately and running through to the end of the academic year. This is with a view to securing a permanent contract with the school in the summer term.

You will be involved in whole classroom support as well as some additional small group work outside of the classroom. The school promotes an inclusive environment for SEN students, so as the TA, you will be responsible for helping maintain this supportive classroom.

Your role:

  • Working within the classroom to support the teacher
  • Working with small groups outside of the classroom, helping to promote maths and literacy learning
  • Helping to maintain the development across all students which is vital for attainment later in the school
  • Working with SEN students to help promote an inclusive classroom

To be considered for the role, you must:

  • Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
  • Have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience working in schools
  • Be able to provide 2 relevant references
