Teaching Assistant needed for North Yorkshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a to work at an OFSTED graded "Good" SEN school who require a passionate Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

This full time role will start in July 2018. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them on a temporary basis, with a possibility of it leading to a permanent contract. The correct Teaching Assistant will ideally have 3 months experience supporting PMLD, Moving & Manual Handling Trained and experience working within a 1 to 1 setting, including Personal Care.

The school is situated just a short drive from the Northallerton area and located within beautiful surroundings. It is host to around 200 pupils and has access to a 5.5 acre farm on site. The school has excellent sporting facilities and is easily accessible from the A1 with on site parking

Requirements:

  • 3 months experience within a PMLD or specialist SEN setting
  • Moving & Manual Handling Trained or willing to take the course
  • Experience delivering Personal and Intimate Care
  • Ability to work in a team or on a 1 to 1 basis
  • A passion for working within a specialist SEN setting

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
