Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant starting in October to work within one our client schools in Monmouthshire to cover a long term sickness. They’re looking for a Teaching Assistant who can work in Year 5 and 6.

The Role

The Teaching Assistant role is a very diverse one that can have you fulfilling a number of different tasks. You’ll primarily work under the instruction of the classroom teacher but may also deliver your own intervention sessions for small groups of children to help develop a higher level of attainment. The tasks may include 1:1 or small group support for tasks that are set by the classroom teacher to enhance the children’s learning. Also, you will help prepare resources for the lesson and create a positive learning environment. The school we’re working closely with is a two form entry school and ESTYN commented that the children at this school make strong progress and achieve well.

What You Need

All you’ll need to start work is an enhanced children workforce only DBS and be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), we can support you with these upon application. Also, we want someone with a positive and resilient attitude who’s up for the challenge of working within a classroom environment.
