Job description

An alternative provision in Leeds a seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. This is a long term role, on a temporary, fixed term basis in the first instance, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.
The setting provides alternative education and accredited youth work initiatives to those young people who struggle to achieve in more conventional settings. They offer a holistic experience which considers every young person as a unique individual with unique needs and unique potential.

The provision currently offers 110 full time places with Alternative Provider status (Students remain on formal school roll) and the learners are placed within the school on full and/or part time basis. Learners are from key stages 3, 4 and 5.
You will be required to support a broad and balanced curriculum, highly differentiated to incorporate the needs of pupils. You must be resilient, able to effectively manage pupil behavior and responsive to the individual needs of pupils.
