A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Maidenhead based Special Educational Needs school who are seeking to appoint teaching assistances with an in-depth knowledge and experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs The school caters for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs. This role requires a teaching assistant to work with pupils with sensory impairments, physical disabilities, and Autism

The post would suit a Psychology graduate wanting to gain experience and utilise their degree in Child Development. Those with experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs are also required.

We are looking for an individual who:

  • Has knowledge of Profound Multiple Disabilities and Autism
  • Experienced in PEC's, Makaton and British Sign Language is Desirable (not essential)
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Youth workers, Care Assistants,
  • Can handle stressful situations in a calm manner.

Candidates will only be considered if they have a DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a DBS and register it on the update service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
