Day to day or long term supply teaching

Monday – Friday 08:30 – 15:30 Term time only

Flexible working - Up to 5 days per week

Teaching Personnel are currently working with over 46 mainstream Primary schools in Plymouth that are seeking Teachers to work on day to day supply bookings. With a high number of calls each day, we can offer you anything between 3-5 days of work each week (this may be in different schools).

What does this mean for me?

When working on day to day supply, you will be able to work 08:15 -15:30 each day and have no additional pressure of planning and marking. You may be able to teach your specialist key stage or cover subjects you have an interest in (all work is provided).

With day to day supply, you are able to accept or decline any work given to you and you can control which days you work by an east use online diary, meaning you can have a day off whenever you like.

With supply, you are paid on a weekly basis and when working through Teaching Personnel NO umbrella companies are used.

Who would benefit from this?

  • You! This role is perfect for anybody, in particular:
  • ECT’s who may not have got a lot of classroom based experience due to the lockdown
  • Retired Teachers who may still want to offer their skills a couple of days a week
  • Relocated Teachers who may wish to see different schools within the area before committing to something permanently
  • Teachers who have enjoyed flexible working structures due to lockdown and wish to continue this

This role is perfect for all Teachers. Permanent and long term roles can also be offered through Teaching Personnel – so there really is ever reason to sign up.

What do I have to do?

To register with teaching Personnel, you will need to email or call us on 01752 228900. If after the call you are still interested, we will book you in for a meeting – this is to find out more about you and the work you would like. In between these two conversations, we will obtain 2 references from your last 2 schools within 6 years and send off for your Child only DBS. If you already have a child only DBS registered to the update service, we can use this and make the process quicker. Once we have the references, DBS and have had a call with yourselves, vetting is then checked and you will be given the all clear to work.

We work with schools across Cornwall and Devon so if you live in other areas, or are looking to relocate, please still call as we have lots of opportunities available. Teaching Personnel are the leading Teacher agency, so if you relocate later, you can find new work within your new area.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
