Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistant to work in a ‘Good’ school in the Mansfield area.
Our client school is passionate about creating a happy and enjoyable environment where their staff can make a positive difference.
You will be working with pupils from a variety of backgrounds and with different learning abilities in Year 1. The role is to start in January and the school are looking for teaching assistants who can work for at least one term but with the opportunity of applying for a permanent role.
The role requires:
- Experience in supporting pupils with different abilities
- Teaching Assistant qualification
- Eligibility to work in the UK (must have a valid Visa)
- Valid DBS which will be on the update service

Qualifications:
Although entry routes into Teaching Assistant roles are varied, you'll usually need a combination of relevant experience and qualifications.
Typically, employers seek one of the following:
- BA Special Educational Needs, Disability & Inclusion
- BA Early Childhood Studies
- BA Education Studies
- CACHE Level 2 / 3 Teaching Assistant
- Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- Level 2 / 3 Childcare
To work with children, young people and vulnerable groups, you will need to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, as well as ensure that you have a Childcare Workforce DBS.
