An SEN school in Frome are currently looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to start in September.
The schools offers high-quality person-centred education for children and young people from the age of 8 – 18 years who have SEMH, and complex needs, including learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children of special educational needs and more specifically, we are specifically looking for support staff with a particular specialism such as ASD, Speech and Language, SLD and other Learning Disabilities. Due to the nature of the students a patient, caring and compassionate approach is needed. You need to be flexible, energetic, and ideally have experience of working with children with profound and complex disabilities and/or autism. However, training will be provided for the right candidate. This role could be suitable for a candidate with an interest in pursuing a career in teaching or learning support. Requirements:
- Available full time from September
- Able to work 8:30am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday
- Have some experience working with SEN/behaviour
