Hours:  Flexible

General: 1:1 and group intervention support

Pay: GBP10.20 per hour

Due to high demand Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit several Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools across Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. We have a variety of different Teaching Assistant roles that support children in EYFS, Foundation Phase and KS2 with challenging behavior, SEN, and Additional Learning Needs. Alongside full time Teaching Assistant support roles we also offer flexible ad hoc working around university/ college courses or other part time roles.

We are looking for the following qualities in applicants:

• Experience working with children with a range of complex needs.
• Someone who can communicate effectively & with strong behavior management skills.
• An enthusiastic individual with high organizational skills and a willingness to learn on the job.
• Someone who is an excellent role model and who actively promotes the skills, attributes, and behaviors important in a classroom.
• Welsh Speaking

You do not have to have specific classroom experience however we are ideally looking for people who have previously coached sports, worked, or volunteered with children or adults with challenging behaviors and/ or special needs (SEN).

The Teaching Assistant Must Have:

• Enhanced DBS (Teaching Personnel can assist with the DBS application and EWC registration)
• Registered with the education workforce council
• Provide 2x professional references
• Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
