Teaching Personnel are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas.
Following the COVID 19 Crisis, many children will require additional support as schools re-open (both academically an emotionally) to help with the transition back into the classroom. Teaching Personnel have kept on working hard throughout lockdown, providing furlough for our registered teachers and TAs and supporting our schools across East Sussex and Brighton and Hove. We are looking for Teaching Assistants and Tutors to join our mission in ensuring children receive the support they deserve from people who are as passionate as us about education.
We are recruiting for the following roles:
- Day to day supply Teaching Assistants
- SEN support in mainstream schools
- 1:1 intervention roles e.g. SATs support, booster sessions, numeracy/literacy support
- Individual needs- working 1:1 with children with Autism, Social Emotional and Mental Health Challenges and Challenging Behaviour.
Do you have….
- Experience working with children in a classroom or similar environment?
- A desire to gain experience working in primary schools?
- Am enhanced, Child Only DBS on the Update Service? (Desired but not essential at this stage)
- A strong sense of empathy with a patient and understanding approach?
- A genuine passion to help children from all backgrounds to achieve their very best?
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs?
- Experience as a support worker, mental health support assistant or similar role?

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
