Graduate opportunity -  SEN Teaching Assistant

 

Schools within Nottingham are looking to appoint Graduates as Teaching Assistants for immediate starts, and from the start of the 22/23 academic year.

To be considered for this position, you will need to be a recent graduate and have genuine long-term ambitions of becoming a teacher or be within an alternative educational position. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Working with students with various individual needs, both within a group setting and on a 1:1 intervention basis.

• Working within your subject specialism, producing resources that have been efficiently differentiated.

• Providing pastoral support and guidance, working through any personal issues that learners may have.

• Ensuring students behave in a respectable manner both within the classroom as well as around the school site.

• Working as part of a team, consistently looking to ensure that every student reaches their full potential.

• Working with students with complex health needs – this includes those with SEN as well as those with mobility issues (arrangements will need to be made)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
