Job Vacancy: Secondary School Teaching Assistant

Location: Monmouth, Wales

Pay: £77 per day (6.5 hours) Monday - Friday

Start date: September 2023

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide essential support to students in various subjects and classroom settings. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
• Contributing to the planning and preparation of teaching materials.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Supporting students with special educational needs or individualized education plans.
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers.
• Assisting in classroom management and behavior reinforcement.
• Collaborating with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• GCSE in Eglish and Maths
• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and able to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Organized and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for education and a desire to make a difference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
