Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel is working on behalf of a prestigious independent school located in North Yorkshire, who is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team of support staff at their high-achieving Secondary School site.

The position is to start ASAP, on a full-time basis. You will be expected to work closely with a pupil with ASC (Autism) as well as carrying out general classroom Teaching Assistant duties.

To be considered for this post, you will possess the following:

  • Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in school, supporting pupils with SEN
  • Experience of working as a Carer for adults or young adults with identified SEN (Autism, in particular)
  • Calm and caring nature
  • GCSE or equivalent qualification, including English and Maths
  • Access to your own vehicle and full driving licence

Teaching Personnel can offer competitive rates of pay of up to £15 per hour for this particular position.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
