Job description

We have an excellent opportunity to gain experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

We work with a variety of schools in the local are that provide a safe, enjoyable and caring learning environment for students to learn skills for life and prepare them well for adulthood. Within this role, you'll be assisting in delivering support to pupils with learning difficulties, speech, language and communication needs, autism and specific learning difficulties.

The candidate we're looking for:

  • Someone who is an able multitasker and can work under pressure with a different range of students with a variety of learning difficulties.
  • Ideally have experience working with SEN pupils, but experience of supporting adults with learning difficulties and/or individuals within the care sector would also be considered.
  • A confident, friendly, pro-active and professional individual.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
