Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Special Educational Needs School in Colchester that caters for students aged 10-16. The school support those with Social Emotional Mental Health Needs, and other associated needs.
The school have asked Teaching Personnel to find a Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Social, Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH).
Successful candidates
- Experience teaching in either a SEN school or Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)
- Strong Behaviour Management skills
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Primary curriculum
- Ability to assist in the core subjects (Maths, English, Science)
- Able to monitor, assess and report pupil progress daily
- Enthusiastic, career driven and a passion to work in Education
- Keen to be involved in extra curriculum activities – art, drama, music, sport
- Team Teach Trained (desirable but not essential)
- Understanding/experience of Special Needs, namely SEMH and associated learning disabilities
Candidates are required to work full time 8.30am-4pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
