Job description

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a Special Educational Need School in Slough the area that caters for EYS, KS1, KS2, KS3 pupils with a variety of needs including Autism, Physical Disabilities, Speech Language Needs and Social Emotional Mental Health Needs. This school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Physical Disabilities and associated learning and medical difficulties.

Successful candidates

  • Experience with children and/or adults with Special Needs Physical Disabilities
  • Background in Care Work, Support Work, Psychology Graduates and Teaching Assistant
  • Moving and Manual Handling Trained (desirable but not essential)
  • Commit to further training to develop career within the school
  • Career driven and a passion to work in Education.
  • Comfortable delivering personal to primary and secondary pupils
  • Hard working, approachable and nurturing
  • To be involved in sensory play and activities
  • Enthusiastic, uses initiative and engages with children

Candidates are required to work full time 8.30am-16.30pm (although part time will be considered)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
