Do you have experience working within an educational setting supporting children who face barriers towards their learning?

My client is a specialist school based in the Formby area, catering for young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties. They are seeking to employ a Teaching Assistant who has the ability to work with young people who have needs which prevent them from functioning academically/socially in a group or school setting. This Teaching assistant role will be working with children currently not engaging in learning so the Teaching Assistant who is successful in their application must be resilient and willing to commit to the role.

The successful Teaching assistant will support the young people access a curriculum which is focused directly on their individual needs. The school will provide work, it is then down to the Teaching Assistant to manage the young person in a way which enables them to make both education and social progress.

The successful Teaching Assistant applying for this post will ideally have previous experience working with behaviour either in a school/youth work/personal setting.

Pay for this role is between GBP66.30 – 75 per day.

Start date: September 2021 - up until the end of the academic year with possibility of permanent role.

The school is easily accessible by car and extremely easy to commute to from surrounding areas in Merseyside. It is also very easy to commute using public transport with a train and bus stop nearby.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
