Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a highly academic Secondary School based in Macclesfield for a Teaching Assistant. The role is set to start September 2021.
On top of regular Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor duties, under the direction of a teacher, you will plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities too both small groups and whole classes.
You will have a role to play outside the classroom, managing other classroom-based staff, develop a specialist curriculum area within the school and often liaise with parents and carers on sensitive issues for particular pupils.
The Ideal candidate will have English and maths skills at Level 2 or equivalent, be trained in relevant learning strategies, have specialist skills/ training in a curriculum area. Any experience as an HLTA within secondary schools is preferable, but Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor experience is also beneficial.
- Pay between GBP1200 - GBP1350 per month (dependent on experience)
- Work at a highly touted academy in Macclesfield
- Support both mainstream and SEN students across all year groups
The role will be for immediate start, although it is subject to a DBS check, right to work UK authorisation so relevant documentation must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
