Then we may have the role for you!

I work with a wonderful SEN school in Haverfordwest who are currently seeking an experienced teaching assistant / learning support assistant to join their fantastic team.

The school caters for pupils between the ages of 3-19 years old with a variety of learning difficulties and are seeking an individual who has either professional or personal experience in supporting someone in this area. Whether that’s in a professional setting or caring for a relative.

The role will entail supporting a small class of pupils to reach learning targets. The classes are smaller than mainstream and you’ll have the support of other members of staff and class teacher in the class.

The school are looking for someone who is confident, organised, who can use their own initiative to pick up from the hand over and take responsibility in supporting challenging pupils and help them hit development targets.

Due to the learning needs of the pupils who attend this school there may often require the ‘outside the box’ thinking to engage certain pupils and patience to ensure pupils aren’t feeling disheartened when they don’t get it the first time around.

We welcome all applicants with experience in the following areas:

  • High/Low functioning Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD);
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD);
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Personal care
  • Emotional and Behavioural difficulties (EBD)
  • Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD);
  • Dyslexia;
  • Dyspraxia;
  • Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI);

If you feel this role could be for you and you would like to have an informal conversation to find out more then please contact Chris our SEN manager on the number below or click the apply button and upload a copy of your CV.

Hope to hear from you soon and take care!
