Are you a recent graduate looking to work within SEN schools in the Reading area?

A secondary SEN school in Reading are looking for recent Graduates to work within their school as Learning Support Assistants. These vacancies are due to start ASAP and be for the duration of the full academic year. There is an opportunity for both full and part-time positions at the school.

The school is seeking graduates who have a passion for education and will be able to display a good level of behavioural and classroom management.

As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working on a 1:1 basis with identified pupils or working as a general classroom assistant, providing intervention and classroom assistance to pupils.

Role:

  • Pay rate GBP285 - 380 per week
  • Motivating and encouraging the pupil as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to pupils' needs
  • Liaising with class teacher, SENCO and other professionals about individual education plans (IEPs), contributing to the planning and delivery as appropriate
  • Ensuring the pupils are able to use equipment and materials provided

If you are applying for this role, there are a few things we require from you. You must have:

 

  • References from your two most recent employers.
  • A full driving Licence as transport is limited.
  • A DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one at a cost of GBP40 for the DBS and GBP13 for the Update Service.
  • Experience working with children in a capacity including Youth Worker, Schools, Coaching or Nursing
  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills; written and verbal
