Teaching Assistant Wanted

GBP10-11 Per Hour

The Headteacher and Governing Body of an over-subscribed Primary School in Preston are looking to secure a full time Teaching Assistant to begin working in school from March 2021. Ideally the person we are looking for will have the minimum of a L2 equivalent qualification, be passionate about education and have a flair for working with young people. The position would also be well suited to a university graduate interested in gaining initial classroom experience as a Teaching Assistant prior to Teacher training from 2021, or those looking to start a career path in Teaching. The successful candidate will be joining a community of welcoming and supportive staff. This school can offer a vibrant learning environment which nurtures and supports children encouraging independence and confidence building.

This school also boasts an exciting and engaging curriculum where staff and children work together to ensure high quality learning that enable every pupil to achieve their very best. This position will be Monday – Friday term time only and the working hours will be 8:45-15:15. The role will be providing general class support in Year 3. Experience of working alongside children within the last 18 months is essential. Experience of supporting children across KS2 would be advantageous.

This school holds an excellent reputation within the local community and is over-subscribed. The Headteacher and SLT are well respected by staff, pupils and parents and this position has cropped up due to a staff member retiring. This is a temp-perm role and an excellent opportunity to make a genuine difference within a Y3 class where children are eager to learn!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
