The Headteacher and Governing Body of a reputable Faith school in Preston are on the look out for a strong Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a pupil in EYFS. This role will be to start in May 2023. The working hours for this role at 8:30-15:00 term time only.
The school have received funding to provide 1:1 support to an individual in EYFS. This child has Autism and requires additional support particularly during English lessons where he is less engaged. The pupil requires a well humoured TA who can confidently differentiate activities to meet his interests and maximise attainment. This young boy is very bright and is very interested in Maths. Generally, the child displays excellent behaviour, and he responds well to a strict routine.
The Headteacher is keen to secure an inspirational practitioner who is confident leading by example and supports the whole school Ethos.
Essentials:
- Have at least 20 days school-based experience within the last 18 months.
- Hold a Level 2 childcare qualification or equivalent.
- Have experience of working alongside children or vulnerable adults with Autism.
- Have the confidence and ability to liaise with the class teacher and SENCO regarding pupil progress.
- Have the ability to differentiate activities to suit the needs of individual pupils.
- Be a positive role model for all children.
- Enjoy working as part of a large team within a busy school environment.
Preferred:
- Have paid experience within a school.
- Have experience within a EYFS/KS1 class.
- Experience as a support worker.
- Experience of working within a Faith School.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
