About the School:

This special needs school caters for 131 children between the ages of 2 and 19 with profound and multiple (PMLD), Severe (SLD) or complex learning difficulties. Some children have additional sensory or physical impairments, speech and language disorders or medical needs, others are on the autistic spectrum.

What are we looking for?

For this position, it is essential you have experience working with children or adults that have special educational needs. We are able to consider applicants who have personal experience with special needs.

Due to the varying needs and age of the students at this school, we are looking for applicants who have a flexible approach to work. Although rewarding, working with such vulnerable young people can be extremely challenging so we are looking for team players with a great sense of humour.

This is a full time role, starting on December 5th 2022 until 10th March 2023. Working hours are 08:45 - 15:30, Monday - Friday, term time only.

You will be working with young people between the ages of 16-19, in the post 16 department. There are 2 teachers and 9 TA’s for the 16 pupils in these groups so you will be well supported.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
