Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a SEN Teaching assistant to join a single form entry primary school based in the Trumpington area of Cambridge. This will initially be a part time position (2 hours per day) But has the potential to turn into a full time role.
You would be required to run small intervention sessions with pupils with SEN- therefore a background working with ASC/SEMH/GDD would be extremely beneficial to the candidate. During these sessions you would be supporting the pupils with their daily school work- these sessions will be based around creating a higher level of understanding leading to increased development and progress of the pupils. This could be done by using educational based games during this period for example. You would be required to monito the develpment and progress of the pupils, you would need to report this back to the SENCO on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate for the role:
- Experience with SEN/care
- Experience in a primary school environment
- Ability to run effective intervention sessions with small groups of pupils
- Enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service
- Uk address and right to work
- Positive attitude to all aspects of work
