Team-Teach Trained Teaching Assistant

Are you a hard-working Team-Teach Trained Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in Wakefield?

I am currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant with Team Teach Training on behalf of an alternative educational provision near Ossett, Wakefield to start ASAP until the Summer 2020. This is a full-time, long-term role with a salary of GBP300+ per week.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
• Hold relevant qualifications with a minimum of A-Levels or equivalent 
• Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Provide a CV with at least 6 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
• Have the legal right to work in the UK 
• Be available to work 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

This school provides education across two sites in Wakefield for pupils in KS2 and KS3 who have been permanently removed from their mainstream school due to various educational needs. The school offers a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum which is challenging and tailored to each pupil’s individual needs. The school wants every child to achieve their potential, develop their skills and deepen their knowledge and understanding of the world to enable pupils to move on to the next stage in their education as smoothly, swiftly and successfully as possible.

This alternative provision is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work within their KS2 department. The successful candidate must have excellent behaviour management and a good knowledge of supporting students with behaviour challenges. You must be a committed practitioner who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. The role itself will involve supporting a child within KS2 who has behavioural needs. The school have asked for somebody with prior experience supporting children 1:1 and children who require help with accessing the National Curriculum.
