Graduate Teaching Assistant – Oldham
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a highly motivated and passionate core subject graduate to work in one of our schools located in the OL2 area of Oldham the role will be commencing in February 2024 and will be until the end of the academic year.
The role will be to support the class teacher and provide interventions to help those pupils that need it most, that are currently working at a lower level.
The ideal candidate will:
- Ideally have some experience working with children, young people, youth work, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering will all be considered. A willingness to learn is essential.
- Have a degree.
- A genuine interest and enthusiasm for supporting the next generation of children.
- Be comfortable working with challenging behaviour and SEND.
- Have a genuine interest in making a difference and helping narrow the gap for those that are disadvantaged.
Responsibilities of this role:
- 1:1 Tuition with students that require extra support in their subject
- Lead small group intervention sessions leading up to key exams.
- Take responsibility for revision sessions and lunch time learning clubs.
- Provide general cover to other areas within school as well as your specialist subject.
- Involvement in departmental planning and marking.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
