Teaching Assistant

We have a number of full time teaching assistant roles available in Cardiff Secondary schools working with students that have additional learning needs. These roles start after Easter and will offer permanent contracts to successful candidates. Teaching Personnel also offer the opportunity to train alongside your work based role and earn a 'future teacher' qualification for those who are keen to move on to a teaching career. 

Teaching Personnel have well established working partnerships with Secondary schools in Cardiff and work constantly to provide candidates to fill their teaching assistant roles. Most of the roles involve working within units attached to the mainstream school that cater for students who have behavioural challenges, social, emotional, mental health difficulties, additional learning needs or Autism.

Experience isn't necessary but we do require successful applicants to have the following qualities: 

- Knowledge of working with children in non educational setting or from personal experiences 

- Passion for education and enabling students to reach their full potential 

- Ability to build positive relationships with students and gain their respect and trust 

- Ability to use own initiative 

- Strong work ethic and commitment to the role 

- Confidence and reliability
