1:1 Teaching Assistant
Are you looking for your next position supporting a child in their education?
Do you have experience working on a 1:1 and group basis?
Teaching Personnel are currently looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support Primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis. Roles range from half a term to 1 academic year, with pull or part time posts in central Cambridge. We are looking for someone flexible and passionate with the ability to give the appropriate support to encourage progress and development.
Roles will consist of the following duties:
- Provide a professional, approachable and helpful assistance to the teacher
- Help with preparation and planning of activities and lessons
- Guide the child with different learning styles to ensure they are getting the full benefit from the lesson
- Ensure a safe place of work for the child and other students within the classroom
- Reporting of any issues, in line with the school policies and procedures
- Communicating effectively with pupils, staff, parents and carers where necessary
- Ad hoc admin/general duties where necessary
- Working with small groups and 1:1

Requirements for the role
- Passionate about primary education
- SEN experience
- Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis that can be referenced
- Safeguarding training
- A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
- A UK address and right to work
- Flexibility in terms of transportation
- Experience within KS1&KS2
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Relevant qualifications – desirable not mandatory

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
