Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

This role involves working as a 1:1 teaching assistant with a year 4 pupil in a mainstream setting who needs additional support in the classroom and around the school. This child sometimes struggles to behave correctly and needs a role model to show them how to behave appropriately in the classroom and on the play yard. Additionally, you will need to prompt the child to stay on task and help with their academic work when needed. You may also need to provide support to small groups of pupils to help with their English and Maths.
