SEN Teaching Assistant needed for a school in Barton!

A fantastic opportunity has come up for a SEN Teaching Assistant who is looking to further their career through SEN or Autism and Communication.

The SEN Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • Experience supporting SEN children (particularly Communication/Autism)
  • A degree or relevant Level 3
  • Confidence in their behaviour management
  • Knowledge of PECs, Makaton or British Sign Language
  • The willingness to learn more about characteristics of Autism
  • A positive person with an upbeat nature

As the SEN Teaching Assistant you will be 1:1 with a child with Autism. He is able to understand English although is non-verbal. This means that part of the role will be encouraging her to speak and build up her confidence.

On top of building on your SEN experience, the school has other training to offer such as PRICE training. You will be supported by the class teacher and guided on all development and training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
