Teaching Assistant

The School:

We are now recruiting for a Specialist Support Assistant to work in one of our client schools in Manchester to begin in September. The provision I a recruiting for works with young people with additional needs including SEMH and ASC as well as behavioural needs. 

As well as receiving a glowing Ofsted report, the school promotes independence and ample opportunities for both staff and children. The staff are very nurturing and encouraging. Their relationships with students are built upon trust and a good understanding of actions and consequences. 

The school caters for secondary aged pupils across multiple sites in and around Manchester, all of which are easily accessible via public transport. 

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality and will be someone who can think quick on their feet when faced with a challenging situation. The health and safety of each pupil must be a priority for the  right candidate and you must have undertaken recent Safeguarding training (Teaching Personnel can assist with this, should you need).

Ideally you will have experience in working in an SEN environment and with young people with challenging behaviours due to their additional needs. However each application will be taken on individual merit, so please do not hesitate to apply today. Knowledge of de-escalation techniques including Team Teach is desirable.
