Teaching Personnel are currently looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic teaching assistant for our partner school, a primary specialist school in Trafford. The position will be working predominately with children 4-11 year old pupils who have verity of Special Education Needs. Ideally you will have a flexible nature and be prepared to cover across all years where needed. Your role will be supporting with behaviour management and to engage and interact with the children to enable them to be able to access to curriculum fully.
An ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
- School based SEN experience
- Makaton experience or BSL (to any level)
- Moving and handling / Team- Teach qualification (desired)
- An empathetic and caring personality
The school’s focus is to support pupils in a caring community where the school philosophy enables all to access the curriculum regardless of physical disability, learning disability, gender, race or culture.
