I am currently working in association with an Ofsted graded “Good” Primary School in Southampton. This primary school is extremely welcoming to all staff, with a substantial emphasis on equality and giving all pupils the same opportunities.
The role:
- Support, engage and inspire learning on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Liaise with the SENCO and inclusion team to help support behaviour specifically with the pupil and potentially other pupils too.
- Must have worked within primary education/have transferable skills related to supporting pupils aged 5-11
- Be confident and able to adapt to support pupils within all subject areas
- Be able to build positive working relationships with pupils who display challenging behaviour and help them engage within lessons.
- Previous experience supporting pupils with special educational needs is advantageous but not essential
Community and Youth Workers along with sports coaches looking to transition into primary schools would be welcomed to apply as their transferrable skill sets have worked in school previously.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
