We are currently recruiting for a specialist Teaching Assistant to support with Additional Learning needs in one of our Cardiff Secondary Schools. This is a full time role supporting students in the schools ALN (additional learning needs) provision. Challenges you will face will be varied and you will need to be comfortable and confident in dealing with varied situations as no two days are ever the same. If you are experienced dealing with Autism, ADHD, Asperger’s or any other needs that require extra school support then please get in touch.
The school have stipulated that you will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil that requires support throughout their education. You do not have to be an education specialist, however having a positive and can-do attitude is a must. Whilst in the school you will be working closely with the school ALNco (ALN Co-ordinator)to ensure you gain a full understanding of your support buddies needs. To be well equipped for the role Teaching Personnel offer CPD courses throughout the year to enhance your skillset and subject knowledge.
The school are looking for the successful teaching assistant to have an empathetic and caring nature, ability to be patient with a passion for developing young people. Previous experience in a secondary school setting or a relevant profession, teaching assistant qualification would be beneficial.

**Pay from £61 per day dependant on experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
